This summer (2021) , I had some wonderful experiences with the Lord .
I had been having focusing and short-term memory problems .
So I began praying to the Lord , asking for help with these problems .
He answered , "Know My Word" .
So I began memorizing Bible verses , starting with Gospel of John chapter 1 , verses 1 thru 14 ,
then John 3:16 - 17 , Romans 12:2 , John 11:25 , and Romans 8:29 , 30 ... .
After a couple weeks , I began having thoughts about sharing the Gospel ,
but social interaction is not my strong point .
So again I prayed ,
"Lord I have never shared the Gospel on my own ,
I don't really know how to start , or what words to use" .
Again He answered , "Use My Words" .
A few days later , I had the thought , start with "Do you know ,
you are made in the image of God?" .
Sometimes the Lord answers with actual words ,
some times He plants thoughts only ,
and sometimes He gives His peace toward a matter .
I am blessed with being able to spend my summers in Boulder , Colorado ,
home of the University of Colorado .
And most days , I visit Pearl St. Mall .
Pearl St. Mall , is an area (closed to vehicles) of 5 or 6 blocks ,
with cobblestone walkways , lots of flowers and oak benches ,
lined with eateries and shops (some quaint and some name brand) ,
sprinkled with buskers of all sorts , and visitors from all over the globe .
Many of them coming to enroll their sons and daughters at U.C. .
Soon the thought came , "it's time to plant some Gospel seeds" .
Off I went to the mall .
The first fellow I sat down next to , was a senior citizen like myself .
I see him every time I'm at the mall .
So , we said our hellos .
And then I said "Do you know , you are made in the image of God?" .
He nodded "yes" .
I asked "May I tell you a story" ?
Again he nodded "yes" .
So I recited the Gospel of John , Chapter 1 : verses 1 thru 14 .
I paused a while , then he said "Thank you" .
Throughout the summer I would stop by and see how he was doing .
Except for one , all the people I shared the 'Gospel of John' with , said: "Thank you" .
That tells me something got thru , a seed was planted .
Thank you Lord , for these experiences .
